Headline Home is publishing a cookbook by chef Raymond Blanc OBE to accompany his new ITV television series focusing on simple recipes for home cooks.
Lindsey Evans, publishing director of Headline Home, acquired world rights in Simply Raymond from Charlie Brotherstone at Brotherstone Creative Management.
Due to publish in hardback in April 2021, the book will feature a new collection of "simple, rustic and accessible" dishes from the Michelin-starred chef; "the type of food that he makes when at home and off-duty from his restaurant, the world-famous Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons".
Blanc said: "We all had to find ways of getting through lockdown. Mine, naturally, was to retreat to my kitchen at home. There I was, with my casseroles, pots, pans, stove… and a dream to write a beautiful book for those who wish to cook delicious, unfussy, simple meals for family and friends. I do hope that soon many of these recipes will become a part of your repertoire too, and you’ll enjoy cooking from my little book as much as I have."
Evans said: "I’m so delighted to be publishing this gem of a cookbook by Raymond Blanc. Borne out of the time he spent cooking for himself at home during lockdown, it will showcase a delicious collection of recipes that are not only simple, but also ‘simply Raymond’. Bringing his unique talents into our kitchens, he will show us how to cook such delights as braised chicken and mustard with pommes purée and spinach, an aubergine and ricotta tartine, a flourless chocolate cake and a superb version of sticky toffee pudding. Leaving his chef whites in the kitchen at work, this is ‘simply Raymond’ at home, as you’ve never seen him before."
