Headline has scored Saturday Afternoon Fever: The Autobiography from “legendary” sports broadcaster Jeff Stelling.
Jonathan Taylor, consultant sports publisher, acquired world English language rights directly from the author for publication on 7th November.
Saturday Afternoon Fever is a “profoundly personal, warmly nostalgic and deliciously funny” memoir exploring Stelling’s life spent “obsessing” about football.
Stelling hosted “Soccer Saturday” on Sky Sports from 1995 to 2003, was voted Sports Broadcast Journalist of the Year for five consecutive years and now hosts the “Breakfast” show on talkSPORT radio.
Taylor commented: “I have been fortunate to work with Jeff on his previous books and it is a real privilege for us at Headline to be publishing his autobiography this autumn. If there is a more popular and respected person in the world of football then I’ve yet to meet them. Fans have been waiting for Jeff to write his autobiography since Jelleyman’s Thrown a Wobbly was a bestseller back in 2009, and Saturday Afternoon Fever does not disappoint.”
