Headline has won a three-way auction for four new novels by award-winning author Steve Cavanagh. The first is Kill For Me Kill For You.
Editorial director Toby Jones acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Jon Wood at RCW Literary Agency. The deal sees Cavanagh move from Orion.
David Shelley, c.e.o. of Hachette UK, said: “I am thrilled that Headline are to publish Steve Cavanagh. His gripping thrillers have built up a large, loyal and truly international following and I’m excited about the potential to grow that further in the years to come.”
Kill For Me Kill For You is described by the publisher as an unpredictable, breathtaking standalone thriller about two women who meet by chance and agree a deadly pact. It will be published in hardback, trade paperback, e-book and audio on 3rd August. The following novel will be the eighth book in Cavanagh’s Eddie Flynn series, formerly published by Orion.
Cavanagh’s third novel, The Liar, won the CWA Gold Dagger for Crime Novel of the Year 2018. Thirteen won the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year 2019 and Fifty-Fifty was a Richard and Judy Book club choice and was also selected for the BBC Between the Covers book club.
