Hodder Fiction clinches Shain Rose's dark romances

Hodder Fiction has acquired four dark romances from bestselling author Shain Rose.  

Commercial fiction publishing director Phoebe Morgan bought world English language rights from Stephanie Phillips at SBR Media and Kimberly Brower at Brower Literary to four titles in the Hardy Billionaires series. It will start with Between Commitment and Betrayal – about a woman who has to fake a year-long marriage to the man she hates, in order to get her way.  

Shain Rose has previously been self-published. She writes romance "filled with angst, steam, and emotional roller-coasters that lead to happily ever afters" the publisher said.

Morgan said: “Shain Rose is a sensation. A terrific writer, businesswoman, and storyteller, when I first came across her novels at the Frankfurt Book Fair, I knew Hodder would be her perfect home. We can’t wait to take her publishing to the next level and introduce yet more global readers to Shain’s world. She writes romance that will sweep you off your feet and break your heart in two – all while making you long for her characters to get together, even as the hatred between them simmers.”

Hodder will publish the first two books this month, Between Commitment and Betrayal and Between Love and Loathing, and the third, Between Never and Forever, later this spring. The fourth new book in the series will be published in September.
