Hodder & Stoughton has recommissioned cook Donal Skehan for a new book called Super Food in Minutes to accompany his upcoming 10-part TV series.
Editorial director Nicky Ross secured worldwide all language rights for the title from Rosemary Scoular at United Agents. It will be released on 5th September, coinciding with the Appetite Media-produced programme for RTE One.
The synopsis states: “Super Food in Minutes is all about real, fast and delicious family food that just so happens to be good for you. Featuring ten ingredients or fewer, each recipe uses streamlined, quick cooking methods with minimal effort and maximum results. The book will contain striking photographs of every recipe, clear nutritional breakdowns and a cook-friendly design, meaning people can have these exciting everyday meals cooked and on the table within half an hour.”
Skehan has built up 1.5 million fans on his social platforms, buoyed by appearances on BBC One’s "Saturday Kitchen", ITV’s "This Morning", the Good Food Channel and on RTE One in his
native Ireland. His previous book, Meals in Minutes (Hodder & Stoughton), was published last September.
He said: “I was completely blown away by the reaction to Meals in Minutes and its accompanying TV show. It’s certainly proof that there is a hunger for quick cooking and simple recipes that deliver serious flavour. Super Food in Minutes is jam-packed with new speedy supper inspiration and provides the added incentive of veg-forward ‘good for you’recipes for real life.”
