Hodder to publish comedian Kevin Hart's first book
Hodder & Stoughton has acquired I Can't Make This Up: Life Lessons by American actor, comedian, writer, and producer Kevin Hart.
Briony Gowlett acquired British Commonwealth rights from United Talent Agency on behalf of Dave Becky at 3 Arts, for a joint world English publication with 37 INK, an imprint of Atria US.
In 2016, Hart became only the second ever American comic to sell out shows at the O2. I Can't Make This Up will be his first book.
Gowlett said the title was sure to be "funny and entertaining" as well as "wise and perceptive".
"Kevin is a clever and original comedian with a brilliant story – I’ve no doubt his UK fans will enjoy every moment of his book," she added.
It will publish on 6th June 2017.
