Hodder & Stoughton Lifestyle editorial director Nicky Ross has signed up a new cookery book to accompany an eight-part prime-time TV series commissioned for ITV this spring called Save Money: Good Food.
The series will be presented by Susanna Reid and Matt Tebbutt who each week will help families prepare meals for £5 or less. The accompanying book, called Save Money: Good Food - Family Feasts for a Fiver, will include recipes from the series as well as practical advice how to make readers' food budgets go further.
Ross said: "I love the premise of the show: 'You don’t have to be rich to eat like royalty'. As a nation a third of our weekly household budget goes on food which is a staggering amount particularly when you consider that we also throw away a huge amount of we buy. The book will show you how to change that with tempting recipes that will transform the way you eat and slash the amount you spend on food."
Save Money: Good Food - Family Feasts for a Fiver will publish in April as a hardback. The deal was brokered by Gordon Wise at Curtis Brown and Camilla Cope at independent producers Crackit Productions.
