Hodder releases Great British Bake Off app

Hodder & Stoughton is releasing a Great British Bake Off app.

The app, called The Great British Bake Off: Step by Step to Better Baking, is available on iOS and designed to help fans and amateur bakers "step by step" through the methods, tips and techniques needed to produce better bakes.

The app is free to download and automatically comes with six cake recipes. Each has a difficulty rating to indicate skill level, and step-by-step baking instructions.

It also includes a "baker's guide" of "expert advice to help improve your skills", an in-app camera for sharing bakes, a personalised shopping list that syncs with device reminders and timers.

App users can purchase additional recipe "bundles" for the app which will be updated regularly. An extra bundle of six recipes costs 79p.

Hodder & Stoughton signed a two-year deal for exclusive publishing rights for "The Great British Bake Off" programme with producer Love Productions in November 2014.
