Hodder & Stoughton has signed Fresh Mob: Over 100 Tasty, Healthy-ish Recipes, the fifth cookbook from the popular food platform Mob.
Carolyn Thorne bought world rights in all languages directly from the author, Ben Lebus, founder of Mob, for publication on 15th September 2022.
The publisher describes Mob as a food media platform dishing up tips and recipes for meals that are “way tastier than they should be for how easy and affordable they are”.
It started out as an idea in 2016 when Lebus noticed that none of his university friends could cook and, “armed with nothing but a kitchen, a camera and some recipe ideas”, he started creating overhead videos that people could actually cook from.
Since then, the company has earned a following of over two million followers across all platforms.
Lebus’ previous cookbook, Comfort Mob (Hodder), was a Sunday Times bestseller. Other books include Mob Kitchen, Mob Veggie, Speedy Mob and Earth Mob (all Pavillion).
Fresh Mob shares balanced meals that celebrate the textures and flavours that make food great, promising minimal and affordable ingredients with every recipe serving four – to share with friends, save leftovers for the next day or scale recipes up or down to feed a few or feed a crowd.
Thorne said: “I am delighted to be working with Mob again to bring this array of fresh recipes to their growing legion of fans. Total deliciousness with a healthy-ish twist – what’s not to love?”
