Hodder & Stoughton is publishing a puzzle book for adults with the National Maritime Museum, which holds the world’s largest maritime collection.
Huw Armstrong, senior commissioning editor for non-fiction, acquired world rights from Sarah Connelly, publishing manager at Royal Museums Greenwich. The Nautical Puzzle Book will publish on 29th October 2020 with the puzzles written by puzzle and brain-training author Dr Gareth Moore.
The Nautical Puzzle Book will contain over 100 puzzles inspired by the museum’s objects and stories, including maps, ships, explorers, myths and legends.
Armstrong said: "This year, more than ever, we’ve seen the importance of quizzes. They’ve provided an escape from what’s been going on in the world. The Nautical Puzzle Book has everything you want in a quiz book and it’s the perfect gift this Christmas. I’m so excited for it to be out there."
Connelly said: "We’re very excited at the National Maritime Museum to publish The Nautical Puzzle Book with Hodder & Stoughton. It’s a fiendish mix of word games, codewords, trivia, picture puzzles, word scrambles, anagrams, crosswords and much more, and guaranteed to leave you lost at sea!"
Moore has previously written several puzzle books including The Mindfulness Puzzle Book: Relaxing Puzzles to De-stress and Unwind (Robinson, 2016) and The Mammoth Book of Logical Brain Games (Robinson, 2016).
