Hodderscape has triumphed in a "hotly contested" ten-way auction for Callie Hart’s originally self-published Quicksilver.
Publishing director Molly Powell acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Suzannah Ball at WME. North American rights were sold to Forever, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing. Rights have currently sold in 12 territories and Hodderscape will publish the book on 3rd December 2024.
Quicksilver is the first in romantasy trilogy following a thief, a handsome fae warrior and a centuries-long conflict.
Powell said: “Quicksilver has everything I love in a book—and more! I was swept away by Saeris and Kingfisher’s sizzling story, and from page one I knew exactly why readers were calling it the hottest fantasy sensation of the year. Quicksilver is a major acquisition for Hodderscape, an indication of our success so far and major ambition for the future... Quicksilver will be a hugely important part of our brand publishing for 2024 and into 2025, backed by a major global marketing and publicity campaign.”
Hart added: “Being published by Hodderscape is truly an honour. I’m beyond excited to bring Quicksilver to UK readers under such a prestigious banner.”
