Head of Zeus (HoZ ) has bought a new science-fiction novel by author and blogger Cory Doctorow.
Walkaway is described as “a multi-generational SF thriller about the momentous changes coming in the next hundred years” and an “epic tale of revolution, love, war and the end of death”.
HoZ publisher Nicolas Cheetham acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Danny Baror at Baror International and will publish in April this year.
Cheetham said: “We are thrilled to welcome Cory and Walkaway to HoZ. If recent events have left you wondering how you might build a post-capitalist, post-scarcity, post-human utopia while all around you crumbles, read this book.”
Last Saturday (14th Jan) Doctorow visited bookshops in London, including Daunts, Foyles, Forbidden Planet and Queens Park Books, where he signed proof copies of Walkaway. He will return for a nationwide PR tour in May.
