HQ has bagged an "extremely useful” new book for preparing meals on a budget by The Batch Lady, a.k.a. Suzanne Mulholland.
Nira Begum, senior editor, acquired world all language rights to The Batch Lady: Cooking on a Budget from Cathryn Summerhayes at Curtis Brown. It will publish on 5th January 2023.
Following the success of her previous books, The Batch Lady (HQ) and The Batch Lady: Healthy Family Favourites (HQ), Mulholland offers readers cost-conscious yet delicious recipes with minimal waste. Her new book will contain more than 100 recipes and time-saving tips.
Begum said: “As the nation feels the squeeze of the cost-of-living crisis, Cooking on a Budget will show readers how to get the most out of the weekly shop. Suzanne’s revolutionary batch method will be the must-needed guide for families up and down the country who are undoubtedly feeling the pinch of rising prices. I’m thrilled to be publishing this new, extremely useful book.”
Mulholland added: “This is a book I was so passionate to write, because paying for the weekly shop is a constant stress that most of us feel – and especially as food prices continue to rise. We all want to eat well and feed our families good, nutritious meals, but it can be hard to balance when money is tight. This book will see many people through the tough times ahead and allow meals on the table whatever your budget.”
