HQ Digital has landed two romantic comedies from author Rebecca Raisin.
World all language rights were acquired directly from the author. The first book in the deal, Escape to Honeysuckle Hall, will be published in e-book, paperback and audiobook this August, with the second book to follow in August 2022.
Raisin is the author of numerous romance novels, including Rosie’s Travelling Tea Shop (HarperCollins) which is being adapted as a feature film by Frolic Media and MRC Film.
The publisher said: "In Escape to Honeysuckle Hall, Orly overcomes heartbreak by swapping her London apartment for rundown Honeysuckle Hall. The grand country home needs a lot of work, but luckily gorgeous carpenter Leo is always around to lend Orly a helping hand. As Orly’s friendship with Leo blossoms, she wonders if she’s finally found somewhere to put down roots – until she discovers a series of anonymous notes, warning her off. Was she wrong to trust Leo? Or is someone else trying to sabotage her future?"
Raisin said: "I’m thrilled to continue working with HQ Digital which has championed my writing since its inception. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline which I cannot wait to bring to readers around the world."
Commissioning editor Dushi Horti added: "I’m delighted to be publishing two more brilliant romantic comedies by Rebecca for HQ Digital. Escape to Honeysuckle Hall features all of Rebecca’s trademark humour, romance and warmth, and is the perfect escapist read for this summer."
