HQ has snapped up a “glorious romantic thriller with a twist” co-written by Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher.
Kate Mills, publisher, bought UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, for Never Never from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein, on behalf of Jane Dystel and Lauren Abramo at Dystel, Goderich & Bourret. It will be published simultaneously in North America by Harlequin imprint Canary Street Press in February 2023.
Originally self-published as a trilogy of novellas, Never Never will be available for the first time in print as one volume, with HQ publishing in paperback in February. HQ previously published Fisher’s novel The Wives in 2019.
Never Never follows teenage sweethearts Charlie Wynwood and Silas Nash, who one day find themselves complete strangers to each other. Every memory of their relationship has vanished, forcing Charlie and Silas to work together to uncover the truth about what has really happened to them and why.
Mills said: “We couldn’t be more delighted that HQ will publish Never Never next February. I devoured it—utterly hooked, intrigued and desperate to know what was happening to Charlie and Silas. It’s got that magical page-turning quality that Tarryn and Colleen are known for, and we can’t wait for readers to fall in love with Charlie and Silas. This is exactly what readers need right now: a glorious romantic thriller with a twist.”
Lisa Milton, executive publisher at HQ, added: “What an absolute privilege to publish Colleen and Tarryn’s novel, it captivated us all from the first page. This is perfect for fans of both authors, as well as new readers who are looking to escapist fiction. It’s a brilliant collaboration that left us gasping for more. Never Never is the gift publishers and readers dream about, one of those incredible opportunities that rarely come along.”
