HQ snaps up Scobie's book on the monarchy's 'fight for survival'

HQ has snapped up Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival by Omid Scobie.

Lisa Milton, executive publisher, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights alongside Carrie Thornton, vice-president and editorial director of William Morrow imprint Dey Street Books, which will publish the book in North America, from Albert Lee at United Talent. It will publish on 1st August 2023.  

The synopsis says: “On 8th September 2022, the world stood still as news broke of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. Now, with unique insight, deep access and exclusive revelations, journalist Omid Scobie pulls back the curtain on an institution in turmoil—exposing the chaos, family dysfunction, distrust and draconian practices threatening its very future. This is the monarchy’s endgame. Do they have what it takes to save it?”
