HQ has snared three more books from Adele Parks.
Publisher Kate Mills acquired world all language rights for the books directly from Parks, which will also be published by MIRA in the US. The first book in the new contract, which is currently untitled, will publish in the UK in 2024.
Parks has sold just over two million books for £10.3m via Nielsen BookScan in the UK with her bestseller the 2005 paperback of Husbands (Headline Review) on 184,553 copies sold.
The author said: “Over and over again the stupendous team at HQ, HarperCollins, prove that they blend outstanding innovation with remarkable industry. They continue to take my career to ever greater heights as they have a laser focus on reaching new readers, while continuing to respect and value the readers who have been at my side for my 22-year career. It’s a joy to be a part of this successful, ambitious team.”
Mills added: “It’s been an absolute delight publishing Adele at HQ. Every book Adele delivers is a masterclass in storytelling – slicing open a dilemma you hope you never have to face through characters you feel you already know. It’s a winning combination and it’s enabled us to grow her readership book by book over the last four years, delivering number one bestsellers in every format. Everyone at HQ is absolutely delighted we have more books to look forward to.”
