The Indigo Press has acquired a book by Netherlands-based academic Paul Behrens, labelled "A Sapiens for the environment", as hundreds of thousands of students protest about climate change.
Ellah Wakatama Allfrey, publishing director at The Indigo Press, purchased UK and Commonwealth rights excluding Canada rights for The Best of Times, The Worse of Times: Finding Optimism under the Spectre of Collapse from Robert Caskie of Caskie Mushens. Billed as “A Sapiens for the environment” by Caskie who said he believes it will be one of the big books for 2020.
"With uncompromising honesty and lucid, accessible prose he addresses the most important issue of our time and challenges us to a better future." Wakatama Allfrey said.
The deal was announced on Friday (15th March) as a climate change protest taking place, with school students all over the world encouraged to leave school to persuade governments to do something about climate change.
Behrens is an assistant professor in energy and environmental change at the University of Leiden University in The Netherlands. His recent research projects include estimating the impact of energy policy on environmental, social, and economic systems.
