Influx Press has snapped up Deliverywoman, Eva Wyles’ "perceptive, razor-sharp" debut.
Gary Budden bought UK and Commonwealth rights from Kirsty McLachlan at Morgan Green Creatives, and the book will be published on 17th April 2025.
"Deliverywoman is a collection of 13 short stories that dive into the complexities of human connection, the pursuit of meaning and modern-day loneliness," the synopsis reads. "Across a diverse cast of characters—from teachers and gas station workers, to hedonistic revellers and wealthy gamers—Wyles explores the strange dimensions of our world using a combination of realist and speculative elements."
Budden said: "Deliverywoman by Eva Wyles is exactly the kind of work I look for at Influx Press—perceptive, razor-sharp writing capturing the strangeness, beauty and absurdities of modern life. It joins a long list of powerful short-fiction debuts by women we’ve published, including Attrib. by Eley William and Ways of Living by Gemma Seltzer, and I’m delighted to add it to that esteemed list."
Wyles added: "I’m thrilled that Deliverywoman will be published by Influx Press. Their reputation for thought-provoking, experimental work resonates with what I have always hoped these stories might become. It’s a real honour to think this collection will soon be in the company of such a wonderfully vital catalogue of books."
