Influx Press signs Malcolm Devlin's 'truly essential collection of the weird'
Influx Press has signed Malcolm Devlin’s short story collection, You Will Grow Into Them, originally published in 2017.
Publisher Gary Budden acquired world rights directly from the author for publication in August 2024.
You Will Grow Into Them announces "the arrival of a major new talent in the worlds of weird fiction and literary horror". The 10 stories "tackle the unease of transformation, growth and change in a world where the mundane is only a veneer hiding the darkness below".
Devlin said: "I’m very excited and more than a little bit humbled that You Will Grow Into Them should find a home with Influx Press, which I consider to be one of the most interesting independent presses operating in the UK."
Budden added: ‘’You Will Grow Into Them is one of my favourite collections of recent years, a truly essential collection of the weird. I’m proud and delighted to be reissuing Devlin’s unique and startling short stories in this gorgeous new edition."
