Ink Road to publish Kara A Kennedy's sapphic YA debut

Ink Road, part of Bonnier’s Black & White Publishing imprint, is to publish I Will Never Leave You, a sapphic, YA debut by Kara A Kennedy. 

Clem Flanagan, editor, and Ali McBride, publishing director, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Chloe Seager at the Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency. Delacorte Press is publishing in the US. 

I Will Never Leave You is billed as “a chilling, sapphic ghost story exploring the impact of toxic relationships and how trauma can cling to us". 

Kennedy said: "I couldn’t be more thrilled that I Will Never Leave You has found a home at Ink Road. Clem Flanagan’s understanding of and enthusiasm for Maya and Alana’s story is such a gift, and I’m so looking forward to sharing that story with UK readers." 

McBride added: “I Will Never Leave You is an utterly compelling story that ties in important topics within relationships that young people can often experience but might not notice. I Will Never Leave You will be published on 23rd July 2024.
