Walker Books will next month publish a Christmas story by Irish TV presenter Ryan Tubridy, with illustrations by Chris Judge.
The First Christmas Jumper and the Sheep Who Changed Everything tells of how the very first Christmas jumper came into being, thanks to Hillary, a sheep that has wool the colour of a rainbow.
Publisher Deirdre McDermott, who acquired world rights from NK Management (acting on behalf of Ryan Tubridy) and LAW Agency (Chris Judge), said: “Ryan Tubridy loves Christmas jumpers, he loves them so much, he wrote this book. The First Christmas Jumper and the Sheep Who Changed Everything has an unforgettable heroine called Hillary, talking sheep, jelly babies, many, many singing elves and Mr and Mrs Claus too! Ryan has created a truly original and tender–hearted Christmas story, for all ages, for all times, full of kindness, and love and, of course, a whole lot of sheep puns.”
Tubridy is the presenter of "The Late Late Show" and "The Late Late Toy Show" and published his first children’s book, Patrick and the President, illustrated by P.J. Lynch, last year.
The First Christmas Jumper and the Sheep Who Changed Everything will be published on 25th October 2018.
