Mitchell Beazley has acquired the Jim Beam Bourbon Cookbook, marketed as "the perfect book for any bourbon fan".
Joe Cottington, commissioning editor at Octopus, acquired world rights from Jeff Christensen at Three Licensing. It will be published on 6th September 2018 at £15 in hardback.
The Jim Beam Bourbon Cookbook contains more than 70 recipes - from Bourbon Baby Back Ribs and "the ultimate" Kentucky Quarter Pounder burger, to Bourbon Chocolate Truffles and New York cheesecake - all infused with Jim Beam bourbon.
Cottington said of the acquisition: "We are thrilled to be working with Jim Beam, the biggest bourbon brand in the world and a bona fide American institution. They are the perfect partners for a book showcasing simple, delicious recipes and cocktails using the versatile – and fashionable – ingredient that is bourbon."
Fred Noe, 7th generation Beam master distiller, commented: "My family has a long history of bringing food to life with great bourbon – the two really go well together. This new cookbook offers recipes and suggestions inspired by my family’s seven generations of producing bourbon and cooking classic Kentucky meals. Hope you enjoy."
