Joffe Books has bagged the 20-book backlist of romantic fiction author Maxine Barry, pen name of crime writer Faith Martin, alongside a new DI Hillary Greene novel.
Jasper Joffe acquired world English language rights for the Barry books from Kate Nash at the Kate Nash Literary Agency.
The e-book publisher will also release Hillary’s Back!, the 18th outing of Martin’s popular detective Hillary Greene.
Joffe said: "We're massively proud to have signed a deal to publish Faith Martin's Maxine Barry books. Having sold two million of her enormously popular mysteries in just over two years, we think readers will be delighted by her Maxine Barry books which combine romance, suspense and her superb ability to tell a story. She is such a talented writer with a unique gift for creating books which readers can't put down."
Nash added: "Maxine Barry's popular romantic novels were first published between 1993 and 2012 by now defunct romance imprints Scarlet (Robinson), Heartline and Hale and I am delighted to have agreed the relaunch with the supportive team at Joffe Books who will bring Maxine Barry's wonderful page-turning stories to a new generation of readers."
