Joffe Books is launching its next "Pitch Party" on 13th June to discover fantasy and romance authors who identify as LGBTQIA+.
The #JBPridePitch will be held on X from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pitches should be no longer than 280 characters and entrants must be prepared to share three chapters of their book if the pitch is selected by the judges.
The publisher added they are also looking for writers from BAME and working-class communities and/or have disabilities.
Jasmine Callaghan, commissioning editor and judge, commented: "We are beyond excited for #JBPridePitch. Joffe Books has always strived to amplify underrepresented voices, and this year, we want to do something truly meaningful for Pride Month, which is why we’re putting our money where our mouth is and endeavouring to make real, continuous change in the industry. I can’t wait to read the submissions from amazingly talented romance and fantasy writers."
Choc Lit, Joffe Books’ romance imprint, announced a two-book deal with film archivist Carryl Church who was a winning entrant of the first pitch party held in March 2023.
