Joffe Books has signed a psychological thriller by the Daphne du Maurier Award-winning author Christina Delay in a four-book deal.
Publishing director Kate Lyall Grant bought world English rights to four standalone psychological thrillers from Michelle Grajkowski of the 3 Seas Literary Agency. Truth Truth Lie, the first novel under contract, will be published by Joffe Books in e-book and paperback in September 2024.
"Lily Fausse is lying in a coma in a hospital bed," the synopsis says. "Lily is an ordinary housewife. She has the perfect marriage. Stays at home. Shops. Goes to brunch with her friends. Hosts a book club. Everyone likes her. So who attacked her and left her broken and bleeding in a parking lot?"
Grant said: “I am a huge fan of Christina’s suspenseful psychological thrillers, with their intriguingly complex female protagonists, darkly imaginative plots and copious twists. I couldn’t be happier to be welcoming Christina to the Joffe Books list, and I’m really looking forward to finding her the widespread readership she deserves.”
Delay added: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have signed with Joffe Books, and I can’t wait to embark on this exciting journey with such a fantastic publisher. Kate’s excitement for my suspenseful thriller books is infectious, and I’m looking forward to working with her and the rest of the Joffe Books team in bringing new characters and twisty plots to life!”
