Joffe Books signs 'gripping tale' from Jessica Huntley in two-book deal

Joffe Books has landed Horrible Husbands in a two-book deal from Jessica Huntley. 

Publishing director Kate Lyall Grant acquired world rights directly from the author after the manuscript was submitted through the publisher’s open submissions channel. Horrible Husbands will be published in November 2024. 

The synopsis reads: "Best friends Penny, Lisa and Holly are enjoying a rare girls’ weekend at Penny’s stunning Welsh country home. After a few cocktails, they exchange confidences about the reality of their unhappy marriages and come up with a cunning plot to murder their controlling and narcissistic spouses. But even the best-laid plans can go awry, and as things quickly spiral out of control, it becomes clear that one of the friends is hiding a shocking secret."

Lyall Grant said: “As soon as I started reading this darkly humorous, gripping tale I was hooked. Jessica Huntley is a real find, and I couldn’t be happier that she is joining Joffe Books.”
