Cricketer Tino Best's autobiography to John Blake

John Blake is publishing Mind the Windows: My Story by West Indian cricketer Tino Best, with writer Jack Wilson.

Best is credited as one of the fastest bowlers ever to have played the game and has enjoyed an 11-year international career.

His "tell all" book is the story of "fiery character" Best, a man never far from controversy, and of living life "in the fast lane", both on and off the pitch.

John Blake has referred to him as "one of sport's most exciting personalities" for his personality, charm and love of "the playboy lifestyle", among other traits. The book also covers difficult situations Best has found himself in, from "racism storms" to "sex scandals and dressing room battles".

Mind the Windows includes a foreword from Andrew Flintoff, the man who famously sledged him, while celebrity fan Piers Morgan, umpire Dickie Bird and former international captains Adam Hollioake and Darren Sammy provide tributes.

John Blake editor James Hodgkinson struck the deal for world rights with Melanie Michael-Greer of the Michael Greer Literary Agency, to publish in hardback on 28th April, priced £18.99.
