Carew's 'moving' quasi-memoir to Canongate

Canongate has signed Quicksand Tales by Keggie Carew.

Editorial director Simon Thorogood acquired world rights from Patrick Walsh at PEW Literary to the title which is a “wonderful collection of stories of embarrassing, awkward, uncomfortable, regrettable, funny and all-too-relatable moments from Keggie’s life”. 

Thorogood said: “All of Keggie’s considerable writerly skills are on display in this funny, moving and occasionally poignant quasi-memoir.”

Carew is the author of Dadland, which won the Costa Book Awards 2016 in the Biography category.
