Little, Brown has announced the follow-up to Andrew Sean Greer’s Pulitzer Prize-winning and internationally bestselling novel Less.
Part of a previous deal with the author, Less is Lost will be published in the UK in hardback, e-book and audio on 22nd September, two days after its Little, Brown US publication.
Continuing the adventures of Arthur Less, the books sees him once again on a journey to fulfil a jam-packed schedule of literary events. However, this time he’s in a rusty camper van called Rosina and is driving into the heart of America on a journey. Anna Kelly, publishing director at Little, Brown, called it “a perfect tonic for our times”.
She said: “Warm, funny and thoughtful, Less is Lost is a moving and searching novel about creativity, identity, ageing, grief, friendship and love. I can’t wait to introduce it both to Andrew Sean Greer’s current fans and to new readers alike.”
Greer added: “Writing Less is Lost was such a joy for me. I needed something funny and honest; I have a feeling everybody does. I also put in a pug. Because everybody needs a pug.”
Less was the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for fiction and shortlisted for the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence, the Lambda Award and the California Book Award. Little, Brown UK says it has sold more than 300,000 copies across all editions.
