Loose Women television presenters Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams have teamed up to write a cookbook, to be published by DK.
Nadia & Kaye Disaster Chef will be a “bible for the culinary-challenged who want to be able to dish up decent grub without having a nervous breakdown in the process,” the publisher said.
It is inspired by the duo’s YouTube vlogs, which see Celebrity Masterchef winner Sawalha take ‘disaster chef’ Adams through her favourite easy recipes and is borne out of Sawalha’s “frustration with Adams’ kitchen cock-ups”, DK added.
The book will feature quick family dishes, alongside simple techniques and kitchen ‘hacks’ that make life simple for even the most reluctant home cook.
World rights in all languages were acquired by publishing director Mary-Clare Jerram from Nicola Ibison at Ibison Talent Group.
In a joint statement, the television presenters said: “Our Facebook page has seen everything from cremated vegetables and incinerated salmon fillets to dried up chicken breasts; this book will change all that. We are delighted to inform Disaster Chefs everywhere that help is on the way and to reassure Kaye's children that they need no longer panic when they hear those three little words 'Dinner Is Ready'."
Mary-Clare Jerram added: “This is a recipe book like no other, capturing the hilarious chemistry between these two close friends as they cook in chaos together.”
It will be published in March 2018.
