Canadian author Becka Mack’s hockey romance series, Playing for Keeps, will be published by Simon & Schuster in November across several major territories.
The five-book series was pre-empted by Anthea Bariamis, associate publisher of fiction and audio at S&S Australia. She signed UK and Commonwealth rights from Louise Fury at The Fury Agency. Simon & Schuster Australia will co-publish the series with Simon & Schuster Canada.
The first three books in the series, Consider Me, Play with Me and Unravel Me, will be published in the UK in November 2023, with books four and five to follow in 2024 and 2025.
The first three books in the series were originally self-published in Canada, but quickly gained millions of views on TikTok and Instagram, going on to auction in several territories, S&S Australia said.
Bariamis said: “The romance, the friendships and the beautiful landscapes make the series totally addictive and it’s no wonder readers are obsessed. I can’t wait for us to bring it to readers across Australia and New Zealand, Canada and the UK.”
