Mariah Carey's 'unfiltered' memoir to Pan Macmillan

Megastar Mariah Carey's memoir will be published by Pan Macmillan in the UK, promising to tell the “unfiltered” story of the singer's life.

Written with Michaela Angela Davis, The Meaning of Mariah Carey will be released on 29th September 2020. Ingrid Connell, editorial director at Pan Macmillan, will edit the UK print version. James Melia, senior editor at Holt, will edit the US print version while Kat Lambrix, senior director at Audible Studios, will produce the audio. 

Carey explained: “This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival and my songs. Unfiltered. Writing this memoir was incredibly hard, humbling and healing. My sincere hope is that you are moved to a new understanding, not only about me, but also about the resilience of the human spirit.”

Carey is the bestselling female artist of all time, with more than 200 million albums sold to date and 19 Billboard Hot 100 number one singles, more than any solo artist in history.
