MCB buys Scott Allen's llama tales

Macmillan Children’s Books (MCB) has signed a two-book deal with debut author Scott Allen.

Fully illustrated in black and white by Sarah Horne, the two books are about a professional football team made up of llamas. The first, Llama United, will be published in paperback and e-book on 4th May 2017 and the second book will follow in May 2018.

Rachel Kellehar, fiction editor for the 6+ division, acquired world rights from Gemma Cooper at The Bent Agency.

Kellehar said: “This is a heartfelt and genuinely laugh-out-loud read from a very talented debut author, and I am beyond thrilled to be working with Scott on bringing this fantastic team of llamas into the limelight – football has never seemed so funny.”
