Mensch will publish One Hundred Summers by entreprenur Vanessa Branson (pictured, left), sister of Richard Branson.
M.d Richard Charkin bought world rights to the memoir from Jonathan Lloyd at Curtis Brown. Audiobook rights have been sold to Bolinda. Mensch will publish in May 2020.
The synopsis reads: “Vanessa Branson tells the story of the extraordinary Branson family. As her brother Richard forged a career in business, Vanessa’s own career was full of incident: creating the Marrakech Biennale, building a reputation in the male-dominated art world, becoming an accidental hotelier and travel entrepreneur and leading conservation work in Scotland and beyond.”
Charkin said: “Mensch is delighted to be publishing such an insightful and beautifully written memoir about one of Britain’s most celebrated families. Vanessa Branson is not only an entrepreneur, hotelier, environmentalist but also a talented and engaging writer.”
