Penguin Michael Joseph has bagged a new cookbook from Nadiya Hussain, to be published this autumn when her new BBC series launches.
Non-fiction publisher Ione Walder acquired world rights to Nadiya's Fast Flavours from Anne Kibel at A K Artist Management. The book will publish on 28th October to tie in with her new prime-time six-part series on BBC Two and iPlayer.
The publisher said: "We’re all cooking more than ever before but after a few months of trying out adventurous new recipes we’ve mostly gone back to the same old standbys. Now Nadiya wants to change all that and bring the excitement back into our daily meals. Each of the 100 new recipes will be easily achievable but guaranteed to send your tastebuds into overdrive. Sour, sweet, hot, tart, aromatic, zesty, earthy, tingly – no flavour experience will be left unexplored, and thanks to Nadiya’s speedy methods and handy tips you won’t have to spend hours in the kitchen."
Hussain said: "I’m so excited for Nadiya’s Fast Flavours! I’m going to be bringing a whole host of new everyday recipes to the table, that are easily achievable and packed with flavour. This new book is packed full of dishes that will satisfy and entertain, further proof that you don’t need a special occasion to try out bold, exciting flavours that taste amazing and make you feel great."
Walder added: "When it comes to flavour, Nadiya really has no fear, and here she’s torn up the rules once again with loads of surprising but brilliant new combos to help the rest of us step outside our comfort zones. And of course, these recipes are naturally also full of Nadiya’s trademark tricks and shortcuts, so it’s all about getting those top-notch flavours for the least amount of work, which sounds like a win-win if you ask me!"
Nadiya’s most recent cookery title, Nadiya Bakes (Michael Joseph), is her most successful book, selling 112,516 copies through Nielsen BookScan excluding lockdown weeks. The publisher says it has sold 160,000 copies to date in total and her BBC TV series of the same name brought in almost 2 million viewers for the most watched episode
