Milly Johnson has struck a three-book deal with her long time publisher Simon & Schuster.
David Higham Associates’ Lizzy Kremer brokered the deal with S&S’s publishing director Jo Dickinson.
The first as yet untitled book in the new deal will be released in time for Mother’s Day next year, while books two and three will be released in 2020.
Johnson, who has so far released 14 novels, has been published by S&S UK since her debut The Yorkshire Pudding Club was released in 2007.
All her books feature the universal issues of friendship, family, love, betrayal, good food and “a little bit of that magic in life that sometimes visits the unsuspecting”, S&S said.
Dickinson said: “Milly is an absolute joy to work with and a very talented novelist. She writes from the heart and has such passion for everything she does. We want to bring her novels to an ever-wider readership and have very ambitious plans in place to achieve that.”
Johnson said she was “delighted” to be staying with S&S for her next three books.
“This deal speaks volumes about their confidence in my novels and I shall continue to work every bit as hard in the foreground for them as they do in the background for me,” she said.
