Hodder & Stoughton is publishing a new book with Miranda Hart in aid of Comic Relief, entitled Miranda’s Daily Dose of Such Fun!
The book, publishing on 9th March 2017 to coincide with Red Nose Day (24th March), is a collection of 365 achievable "joy-filled tasks" to make life more engaging, caring and fun.
The book encourages readers to "focus on the jolly things in life", breaking often negative adult habits, while passing a "merry outlook" onto others too. Tasks will include small gestures of kindness that can potentially make a big difference to ourselves and those around us, from smiling at a stranger on the morning commute to galloping down the road or singing a well-known tune aloud.
All royalties owed to Hart from the sale of the book will be donated to Comic Relief.
Publisher Hannah Black acquired world rights from Gordon Wise at Curtis Brown. She said: “It’s easy to feel weighed down by life’s challenges, but as Miranda knows so well and shows so brilliantly, small playful steps taken each day can have a big effect on our wellbeing and happiness. A timely guide to fun.”
Hart said: “The ideas in my book are small gestures that are easy to do and yet they will bring a smile to your face and happiness to others around you. Imagine doing this every day for a whole year – a daily dose of such fun! If there was ever a reason to have some childish fun and break our monotonous and often negative adult habits then this book is it.”
