Katie Price memoir about life with son Harvey goes to Mirror Books

Katie Price will share a "full and exclusive" look into her life with her eldest son Harvey for the first time in Harvey And Me: A Mother’s Love, to be published by Mirror Books this autumn. 

Price will share never-before-told stories and unseen photographs, documenting the highs and lows of their mother and son relationship, details about Harvey's condition, his relationship with his siblings and dealing with cruel online trolls. 

The publisher explained: "When Katie Price found out she was pregnant with her first child Harvey, she could never have imagined the challenges that would lie ahead. From the very beginning, Katie has single-handedly raised her disabled son after his father Dwight Yorke cut contact. Katie is open about the struggles she and Harvey face, but only those close to her know the true reality of what goes on behind closed doors."

Price said: "Life with Harvey has been a roller-coaster of emotions — from the day I held Harvey in my arms to this day I cannot begin to express the wonders of our incredible journey together. A mother son bond that goes beyond the everyday 'normal'. Harvey is one in 100 million — I am blessed to have him in my life.

I want to educate parents and others, with a few good belly laughs, by giving an insight into what my world with Harvey is like behind closed doors. I’ll take you away from showbiz thrills and spills and into my home, into my life as a parent with a child of complex needs and disabilities. Harvey has taught me to be a better person, mother and to fight for what is right, for those especially who have until now not had a voice to be heard."

The publisher acquired worldwide rights in a deal made with Chase Communications PR. The memoir will be published on 16th October 2021.

Price has penned six previous memoirs. The first, Being Jordan, was published by John Blake in 2004 and the following five were all published by Century: A Whole New World (2006), Pushed to The Limit (2008), You Only Live Once (2010), Love, Lipstick And Lies (2013) and Reborn (2016).  She has sold 3.8 million books for £29.3m in the UK through Nielsen Bookscan, with her bestseller Being Jordan at 398,806 copies sold in paperback and 335,701 in hardback.
