Mitchell Beazley, part of the Octopus Publishing Group, has acquired their third interior design title with 75-year-old heritage paint and paper brand, Farrow & Ball.
Publisher Alison Starling acquired world all-languages rights directly from Farrow & Ball. Farrow & Ball How to Redecorate by Joa Studholme and Charlotte Crosby will be published on 28th September 2023.
Packed with decorating advice on everything from which white to use with which colour, how to select a neutral palette and easy-to-follow ways to build schemes for any room, the publisher says it is set to become the "definitive interior design sourcebook" whether you live in a compact city apartment or a roomier country house.
Starling commented: “Creating books with stylish, successful brands is one of the most enjoyable parts of my job and once again it has been a complete joy to work with Joa, Charlie and the Farrow & Ball team on this inspirational and useful book. With more than 60 stores and an increasingly global presence, Farrow & Ball’s reach just keeps growing, but at the heart of it they remain a Dorset-based business devoted to the power of colour to transform people’s homes for the better and it’s wonderful to be able to share their expertise and advice in How to Redecorate.”
Colour curator Studholme, who has worked with Farrow & Ball for more than 25 years, said: “Although the core of this book is down-to-earth guidance on how to use and showcase the Farrow & Ball palette, we are more than aware that there has been a seismic shift in the way we decorate our homes in the last decade.
"The brand-new imagery reflects the more adventurous ways of decorating which have become so popular. We all want to use colour, not only to enhance our homes and make them our own, but also to make us smile.”
Creative director Cosby added: “I am so excited for the release of How to Redecorate, celebrating the latest editions to the Farrow & Ball palette and papers alongside the advice and expertise people know and love from the brand.”
