Octopus imprint Mitchell Beazley will publish a second book by BrewDog titled BrewDog: Craft Beer for the Geeks. Mitchell Beazley published BrewDog: Craft Beer for the People in 2017.
Denise Bates, group publishing director at Octopus Publishing Group, acquired world rights from Ben Clark at The Soho Agency. The title will be published in September 2020.
The craft beer company was founded in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie. As well as in the UK, BrewDog has a brewery in Columbus, Ohio and has recently announced plans to open another in Brisbane, Australia and in China. Watt and Dickie have written both BrewDog books alongside Richard Taylor.
BrewDog: Craft Beer for the Geeks is a fully illustrated "deep dive" into the art and science behind craft beer, including science of flavour, brewing pioneers and menus pairing beer and food.
Taylor commented: "Craft beer is for everyone, but we all know the geeks will inherit the earth. This book is for them; going behind the scenes, looking behind the curtain, telling stories you won’t hear anywhere else. Get ready to level up your beer knowledge and embrace your inner geek."
Bates added: "There is no better brand to explain all that is wonderful about craft beer. We are thrilled to be working with BrewDog again on this next-level book."
