Mitchell Beazley, part of the Octopus Publishing Group, has acquired Get Your Kids to Eat Anything by Emily Leary.
Eleanor Maxfield, editorial director at Octopus, acquired world rights from Josephine Hayes at The Blair Partnership. It will be published on 21st March at £16.99 in hardback.
Get Your Kids to Eat Anything is an “achievable 'how to' for parents in the battle to overcome picky eating and 'make new the norm'. Leary's unique 5-phase programme looks at the issue of 'fussy eating' in a holistic way that links imagination with food, and which situates parents alongside – not in opposition to – their children,” the publisher said.
Maxfield said: “Emily is an exciting and refreshing new face in the world of kids’ eating. Her revolutionary programme makes this a truly unique book, offering much more than a few colourful recipes in imaginative shapes, and instead arming parents with the skills to change their way of life. She’s been a ‘go-to’ expert on social media for some time and a book is long overdue.”
Leary, who runs the blog A Mummy Too, added: “I’m delighted to have found such a perfect home for my debut cookbook. As well as featuring 70 new recipes, Get Your Kids to Eat Anything is also packed with tips, tales and challenges borne out of my own experiences as a parent, and lessons from eight years helping families tackle mealtime challenges online. I can’t wait for readers to tuck in.”
