Michael Joseph is publishing a new diet book from actress and presenter Lisa Riley called Lose Weight for Life, described as "the must-have companion to help people lose weight and keep it off".
The book is publishing in paperback on 12th July, priced £16.99. Following on from the success of her January title, Lisa Riley’s Honesty Diet, the new book offers a practical guide and support for making sustainable changes to diet, exercise and mind-set.
The book, for people "with any degree of dieting goal", contains 75 low-calorie recipes, plus "fun, fast, easy" workout ideas to do at home.
Riley commented: "After so many people got in touch to let me know about their success with my first book, I’m really happy to be sharing more fabulous recipes, workouts which are realistic and doable at home, and importantly the mental motivation to stay on track in a sensible regime which becomes part of your life. It’s a realistic approach to weight loss, whether you have two pounds or two stone to lose. I hope readers enjoy the beautiful food and fantastic results."
Michael Joseph editorial director, Ione Walder, said: "It’s been a breath of fresh air working with Lisa, and so rewarding to hear from regular people who’ve followed her advice and seen a big difference. In a world full of diet fads, Lisa cuts through it with her straight-talking common-sense. We’re thrilled to be publishing her follow-up book, designed to help reinforce good habits and keep unwanted weight off for the long-term."
Riley will be promoting the book with a series of high profile interviews across television, radio and print media, according to Michael Joseph. She will also be embarking on a signing tour, with particular focus on the North of England, where Riley comes from.
Riley's own weight loss has been well documented, having lost 12 stone by exercising and dieting. A star of "Emmerdale" and "Strictly Come Dancing", she is now a regular on the "Loose Women panel" and will be appearing in the BBC Drama "Age Before Beauty" later this year.
