Michael Joseph is publishing Jamie’s Friday Night Feast Cookbook, the first recipe book to accompany the Channel 4 TV series "Jamie & Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast".
Publishing this autumn on 15th November, coinciding with the airing of a 12-part sixth series of the show, the tie-in will feature the best recipes from the past five series, including six new recipes from the latest series.
The book contains more than 65 recipes that were made in the famous café on Southend Pier by Oliver and his celebrity guests. In addition to Oliver's own recipes, there are favourite dishes from the likes of Mark Hamill, Liv Tyler, Josh Hartnett, Scarlett Moffatt, David Tennant, Goldie Hawn and Fearne Cotton. "Big-hitting, crowd-pleasing" recipes featured in the book include "Party-Time Mexican tacos with zingy salsa", "Sticky BBQ British ribs", "Steak & Stilton pie" and "the Ultimate veggie lasagne made with smoky aubergine".
Oliver said: "These recipes really are the full monty, and are what I like to think of as the greatest hits of weekend cooking. This book is all about sharing the love with family and friends and celebrating the joy of good food. I can’t wait for you to get stuck in."
Louise Moore, managing director of Michael Joseph, said: "We’ve long been fans of 'Friday Night Feast' here at Michael Joseph, so this was an irresistible proposition for us. Filled with delicious recipes and peppered with beautiful photography that celebrates both the food and the fun atmosphere of the café, this book makes you feel like you’re at the end of Southend Pier with Jamie and his friends cooking up a storm."
Jamie’s Friday Night Feast Cookbook follows the publication of Jamie Cooks Italy with Michael Joseph earlier this month, which to date has sold 39,978 copies. Last Christmas’ chart-topper 5 Ingredients (Michael Joseph) has meanwhile sold 1,023,404 copies through Nielsen.
