Monoray signs football pundit Chris Sutton

Monoray has signed a book for fans of the beautiful game from "tell-it-like-it-is" football pundit and former pro player Chris Sutton.

Publisher Jake Lingwood acquired world rights to You're Better Than That! How To Fix Modern Football from Kevin Pocklington at The North Literary Agency, to publish on 14th May £14.99.

The book – the title of which is borrowed from Sutton’s popular catchphrase from BBC Radio 5 Live’s flagship football phone-in 606 – will take readers through 25 aspects of the modern game that need fixing. "From diving players to abusive fans, from feckless agents to the dreaded VAR, from the standard of referees to the lunacy of the managerial merry-go-round, Sutton leaves no stone unturned", promises Monoray.

Sutton’s career as a footballer included spells at Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea, Celtic, Birmingham City and Aston Villa. He's won five league titles and three Scottish Cups, played in the UEFA Cup Final and has won the Premier League's Golden Boot. Since retiring as a player, he has been a football co-commentator and pundit for BT Sport, featuring prominently in live Premier League and FA Cup coverage, and for BBC Radio 5 Live. He is also a regular columnist for the Daily Mail and the Daily Record.
