Cleaning guru Mrs Hinch has written an “honest and uplifting” memoir called This Is Me for Michael Joseph.
Publisher Fenella Bates acquired world rights from Abigail Bergstrom at Gleam Titles. This Is Me will publish in hardback on 1st October 2020.
The book's synopsis explains: “As well as being the cleaning sensation known and loved on Instagram, Sophie Hinchliffe is a new mother, a wife, a daughter, and a friend. In this honest and uplifting memoir, Sophie will take readers back into her past to where it all began; from growing up, to meeting Jamie, getting married and becoming a mother for the first time. The book deals with important issues close to Sophie’s heart, such as internet trolling, dealing with anxiety, bullying and body image; all told with the great warmth, humour and honesty that Sophie’s fans know and love her for.“
Hinchliffe became an online sensation in 2018 by sharing her cleaning tips on Instagram, eventually amassing 3.5 million followers. Her first book Hinch Yourself Happy (Michael Joseph) was released in April 2019. Her second book Mrs Hinch: The Activity Journal was published in October 2019, followed by Mrs Hinch: The Little Book of Lists in April 2020. Since first being published Mrs Hinch has sold sold just over 836,000 books for £5.8m through Nielsen BookScan
Hinchliffe said: “It was so important to me that I was able to tell my whole story, in my own way and I’m so fortunate to be able to work with a team that understands me. Michael Joseph have always allowed me the freedom to be me, they’ve trusted my instincts and respected the incredible bond I have with my audience. I am so incredibly grateful to my Hinchers every single day who I would not be where I am without and I hope that my memoir brings us even closer together.”
Hardman said: “We’re incredibly proud of everything that Sophie has achieved so far with a trio of huge number one bestselling books that continue to dominate the charts. Sophie has united people in their love of cleaning and being organised. She has built up the most incredible community online where she has really been taken into the hearts of the public. We know just how eager people are to hear her life story and we’re so excited to share it with everyone this autumn. Sophie speaks with such honesty and humour, I think so many people will find comfort in what she has to say.”
