Egmont has bought world rights to a picture book by French illustrator Barroux.
Welcome is about a polar bear and his friends who try to find refuge in a new land after being swept away from their home.
Publishing director Melissa Fairley bought world rights from Kathryn Ross at Fraser Ross Associates and will publish in hardback (£10.99) and paperback (£6.99) on 8th September.
Egmont has sold rights to Barroux’ earlier picture book Where’s the Elephant? in 12 countries (Brazil, China, Taiwan, Denmark, Holland, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain (Catalan), Turkey and the US), and to it’s follow-up Where’s the Starfish? in nine (China, Taiwan, Denmark, Holland, France, Italy, Korea, Spain (Catalan) and the US).
