New Klosterman book questions modern-day beliefs

Amberley is to publish a book which questions whether one day our thinking will be deemed as "hopelessly outdated" as the Middle Ages. 

Amberley acquired UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to But What If We’re Wrong?: Thinking about the Present as If It Were the Past by Chuck Klosterman, to be published in September.

The book speculates on the likelihood that many of our universally accepted, deeply engrained cultural and scientific beliefs will someday seem absurd. Looking at our present-day society as we consider past civilisations, Klosterman points to a "profound and simple" idea: what if one day our thinking is as hopelessly outdated as that of the Middle Ages?

Using a range of original interviews with a variety of thinkers including filmmaker Richard Linklater, musician David Byrne and scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson But What If We’re Wrong makes an “irreverent” and “thought provoking” critique of our assumptions.

The book will be published in trade paperback on 15th September 2016.
