Bookouture has acquired a new novel from Louise Jensen, Kindle number one bestselling author of The Sister, The Gift, and the forthcoming The Surrogate.
Bookouture published Jensen’s debut The Sister in July 2016, and since then it has sold over half a million copies and translation rights have been sold in 16 countries, according to the publisher.
Jenny Geras, publishing director at Bookouture, acquired World English rights from Rory Scarfe at Furniss Lawton, and the new novel will be published in autumn 2018.
Bookouture will be working with fellow Hachette division Little, Brown Book Group in the UK on publishing paperback editions of all of Jensen’s novels and the first of those, The Sister, will be published by Sphere on 24th August.
Geras said: "What Louise has achieved in the last year has been incredible. We are overjoyed to have a new book from her and this one will be another chilling, gripping psychological thriller that I know all of her fans will love."
Jensen said: "Bookouture propelled my first two novels to dizzying heights and I'm thrilled to be continuing my journey with this dynamic and brilliant team. It's such a privilege my paperbacks will now be published by the fabulous Little, Brown Book Group who have already made me feel most welcome. I'm excited to see what the future holds."
Hachette acquired Bookouture in March this year, just four years after it was founded by Oliver Rhodes.
