No Exit signs second Gangster novel from Goldberg

Oldcastle Books imprint No Exit Press has signed Gangster Nation, the "brilliant" new novel from Tod Goldberg.

Geoff Mulligan, editor-in-chief at No Exit, acquired UK, Australia and New Zealand rights to the title from Ben Fowler at Abner Stein on behalf of Judy Klein and Counterpoint.

The novel, a sequel to Goldberg's Gangsterland (Titan Books), follows Chicago mob hitman Sal Cupertine, who has disappeared into the guise of Las Vegas Rabbi David Cohen.

Film rights have been sold to Caryn Mandabach productions, whose credits include Peaky Blinders.

No Exit will publish Gangster Nation in July 2018.
